Crossover Seat Ateca was presented a few days ago, and the company already is thinking about creating a “hot” version of the Cupra.
In his interview with Auto Express Seat head Luca de Meo confirmed that they lead a discussion on the feasibility of such a model.
Top manager also made it clear that the project does not get the “green light” for as long as they do not form under it a solid business case.
Recall that the standard Ateca go on sale this summer and will be offered with two petrol and two diesel engines:
- 1-liter TSI with 113 hp;
- 1.4-liter TSI, which develops 148 hp;
- 1.6-liter 113-hp TDI;
- 2-liter TDI turbodiesel in two power options – 148 and 187 hp;
Taking into account that Ateca has much in common with the Volkswagen the Tiguan – «charged” modification of Ateca the Cupra can get a 2-liter capacity 237 hp BiTDI
This unit will enable the crossover to accelerate to the first “hundred” less than 7 seconds and a top speed around 225 km / h.
