Representatives of 2018-2019 Volkswagen revealed plans to release a seven-seat version of the second-generation Tiguan on the company’s plant in Mexico.
The German company will invest 1 billion in the expansion and modernization of the plant, where they plan to collect the seventh generation Golf.
Seven-seater “Tiguan” will come off the assembly line in the amount of 500 copies daily, and on the crossover market will be in .
Initially, the novelty will arrive at dealers in North and South America, and then it will travel to other parts of the world, except Europe and China.
According to recent rumors, the European version of the new Tiguan will be presented in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, having approximately the same dimensions as the current model .
Earlier, the head of the Australian branch of VW said that the new generation of the crossover will be built on the MQB platform and its design promises to be a “phenomenal” .
Moreover, 2018-2019 Volkswagen, may be considering the possibility of issuing “sport” 5-seater version of the Tiguan, which will serve as a prototype concept Cross Coupe GTE (pictured below).
