Future models of the Japanese company 2018-2019 Nissan will develop a “clean” electrical installation, making possible the emergence of crossover Juke and Qashqai in the “green” propulsion.
“We are leaders in the segment of crossovers, as well as in the segment of electric vehicles with our Leaf – in the future, we will combine these formats” – said Gareth Dunsmore, director of electric vehicles 2018-2019 Nissan.
Currently, electric 2018-2019 Nissan cars are based on a separate dedicated platform and this state of affairs will always be a priority, but the next step in the development of the line will be the emergence of a universal architecture, initially ready for the installation of electric motors.
Further, such a platform will be adapted for internal combustion engines and other units.
Dunsmore also expressed hope that the new platform “will make the EV eco-friendly, efficient and enjoyable to drive.” He also hinted that 2018-2019 Nissan is considering the possibility of issuing new compact electric cars – “We have a number of options; some people love small cars, and we understand that. ”
Recall that in last year’s edition Autocar reported that the Japanese are working on a whole family of machines under the brand name the Leaf, which can go above and compact cars.
