Japanese automaker 2018-2019 Mitsubishi announced plans to put on the Russian market a hybrid version of crossover 2018-2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.
Home sales scheduled for August . The Russian premiere of the model will be held at the International Automobile Salon in Moscow.
According to the company, the SUV has successfully passed environmental testing, which is very important in conditions of our winters, considering the type of propulsion system and its batteries.
The car is equipped with two electric motors 80 hp each and one 2-liter gasoline internal combustion engine, developing 134 hp
Depending on the battery level and road conditions – car electronics chooses one of three modes of engine operation:
- EV Drive – propelled solely by two electric motors (main mode at speeds below 60 km / h);
- Series Hybrid – electric motors work in conjunction with the internal combustion engine, which acts as an electric generator to recharge the batteries. The mode is activated at a low level of charge or sudden acceleration;
- Parallel Hybrid – mode parallel hybrid in which the crossover is driven mainly by the internal combustion engine and the electric motors act as auxiliary.
The electric range of 55 kilometers. When the electric motor and the internal combustion engine is able to overcome in a crossover total of 875 kilometers.
Rechargeable lithium-ion battery is carried out by a network voltage of 300 volts.
Up to 80% of the battery charged for 30 minutes. The full charge cycle takes 4.5 hours.
