German manufacturer 2018-2019 Mercedes-Benz started testing ‘hot’ version GLA45 AMG crossover at the famous Nürburgring track.
New products will be used by the power plant related hatchback A45 AMG.
This means that the ‘charged’ crossover will get a 355-hp 2-liter turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive system and 7-band automatic transmission with two clutches.
Compared to the A45, the dynamic characteristics of GLA, are likely to be slightly inferior to the hatchback, due to a longer body, wider front portion and increased ground clearance. It is expected that the crossover will squeeze ‘hundreds’ of about 5 (or less) seconds, and excel in the dynamics of its direct competitor – Land Rover Evoque RS.
