2018-2019 Mercedes-benz plans to launch a new compact crossover, which is likely to receive GLA index and share a platform with the recently introduced CLA class.
Last week, at a press conference in Germany, 2018-2019 Mercedes CEO Dieter Zetsche said that the conceptual model of the crossover we will see during the Shanghai Motor Show in April , but the production version will appear before the public in September in Frankfurt.

GLA is positioned as a competitor to the Range Rover’s the Evoque , the BMW the X1 , the Lincoln MKC, and, to a lesser extent, the MINI Countryman is . Judging by the numerous spy photos and video , the novelty will receive a more sporty and aggressive design, not characteristic of the other SUV of the German manufacturer.
At the same conference, Zetsche said that the company is preparing a plant in Tuscaloosa (Alabama, USA) for the production of the other all-terrain models based on M-class crossover (mule spy photos we published earlier ), which will compete with the BMW X6 and the future Audi Q6.
